Plastic frame and uses your screen door.. I only rate this as decent because there are much better screen doors out there and wish I would have bought one of those instead.

This has been a great solution for my cats. The weather isnt too extreme here so I have my doors open a lot. My cats kept ripping a hole in the screen door that I has and after I had it rescreened the last time, I decided to get a pet door. This one kinda stood out because of the odd shape, so I ordered it. Thanks for a great product.
