Elevated Feeders are very important for most all dogs from medium sized and larger. When dogs eat from a dish or bowl on the floor, they lean forward and down to reach their food. This is an awkward position that can cause the dog to inhale air as they eat. For many dogs this may contribute to Stomach Bloat, which could become fatal if not treated immediately. An elevated feeder will also relieve neck and back stress that can aggravate arthritis especially in older and large dogs.
