The Cat Mate Small Electronic Cat Door is designed for cats up to 14 lbs. The electronic lock will deter other animals and cats from entering the cat door. This electronic lock is assisted by a 9volt battery (not included) to enhance the reliability and operation of the lock. The collar tags do not require any batteries and will not wear out through time. Any number of cats can use this door by simply purchasing additional collar magnet tags.
Waterproof magnetic collar tag allows you to control which pets are allowed into your home, and keep unwanted pests from gaining entry. The flap is rigid plastic is easy to navigate, durable, and is easily installed in most standard doors up to 1 3/4" thick.
Note:When installing this cat into a metal door you will need to "insulate" the cat door from the metal door. This is most commonly done by using thin plywood or similar material between the frame of the cat door and the surface of the metal door.
