The PetSafe Freedom Pet Door with Universal Wall Kit is a solid aluminum framed door that can be used in a variety of applications. This pet door features a thermoplastic insulating slide-in security panel and a frosted, flexible vinyl flap. When used with the trim-to-fit Universal Wall Kit, this pet door will accommodate walls ranging in thickness from 3" to 10". The tunnel extension is designed to fit your PetSafe Freedom Pet Door by using the included screws in the hardware kit. By using a pair of tin snips, you can customize the width of the tunnel to suit your needs. A solid tunnel has the benefit of keeping out any excess moisture or water as well as having greater inherent strength (when compared to a snap-together wall kit or a self-adjusting tunnel).
Important Note: The Universal Wall Kit allows for the PetSafe Freedom Pet Door is designed to easily be installed into walls rather than having to fabricate a custom tunnel on site. Notice that when installed, the flap of the pet door will be on the interior side - the exterior frame is not made with a flap.
