The Perimeter Comfort Contact System is available in two basic styles with six total variations:

 

Temp Check: The Perimeter Comfort Contact System features an internal circuit board that provides consistent operation at either hot or cold temperatures. From 40 to 90 degrees Fahrenheit the 8 ft. field width will vary by less than 5% (less than 5"). Some electronic fence systems can have a variance of up to 100%, meaning they may not work at all in colder temperatures or they may have twice the normal field width in hotter temperatures.

Wire Check: A state of the art transmitter automatically monitors wire input and output, meaning this system can still function even with damage to the boundary wire (no system will function if the wire is completely broken). The field width will remain constant on both sides of a damaged boundary wire.  If the wire is completely severed your system will alert you with a constant audible indicator.

Battery Check: The Perimeter Comfort Contact System will monitor your battery level every two hours to ensure you know when your dog fence needs a new battery. The chemical composition of a battery can fluctuate over different operating conditions, potentially signaling a false low battery indication with other electronic fences. This system requires three consecutive low battery triggers to set off the low battery indication.

Aside from the patented features listed above, the Perimeter Comfort Contact System also makes use of a number of other traits that make it one of the top electronic fences available. The collar receivers are housed in a rugged and durable polycarbonate plastic to make them extremely resistant to damage from dog chews. They are also the only collar receivers to be both waterproof and include a replaceable battery pack. The battery pack itself utilizes lithium ion technology to make it lightweight and give it a longer run time.

One of the most unique features of the Perimeter Comfort Contact System is its use of metallic infused rubber Comfort Contacts. These contacts cushion your pet's neck with soft rubber, unlike the hard steel probes used by other electronic fence systems. Veterinarians prefer the softness of the Comfort Contacts to help reduce the incidence of skin irritations.

Digital frequency encoding will eliminate stray signal interference from neighboring dog fence systems or any other signal generating devices. Perimeter brand electronic fences operate on a 7 Khz frequency, providing less frequency interference than other dog fence systems that operate on a more common band.

The Perimeter Comfort Contact System also features a progressive correction method with run through prevention to keep your dog from making a break for it. Not only will the computer recognize how far away your dog is from the boundary, but also how fast it is moving. In a mere fraction of a second the collar is capable of making the necessary adjustments in correction intensity to ensure your dog stays at home. Should your dog get caught in the middle of the barrier an automatic safety shut-off will turn the collar off after 20 seconds of correction.
