The Wood Slat Stairway Gate is hardware mounted and is certified to be used at the top or bottom of stairs.

The gate is made in the USA, featuring a frame that is constructed of sturdy American Hardwood. This sturdy frame features wood slats spaced 2 7/8" wide, preventing small cats or dogs from passing through these narrow slats. Due to the hardware attachment style there is no bottom bar to step over, eliminating the potential for a tripping hazard.

This stairway wood slat gate features a one handed locking mechanism that is easy for adults to operate, but is extremely difficult for children. The swinging wood panels are designed to be only opened in one direction. This prevents the gate from swinging out over stairs, causing a safety issue. This Stairway Guard Gate can fit opening from 27" to 45 1/4" wide and measures 24" tall. This Wood Slat Stairway Gate has been JPMA certified for use with children.
